Search the City is an alternative/punk band from Detroit, Michigan. In 2006, their debut EP Ghosts was released. The band has just signed onto Tooth & Nail Records and released their new debut album A Fire So Big The Heavens Can See It on April 1, 2008. The band toured with groups such as Run Kid Run, A Dream Too Late, Dr. Manhattan, Ivoryline, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Breathe Carolina, and Panima.

A Fire So Big the Heavens Can See It charted at #46 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.[3]

Josh Frost started a new project called "Evil Us" It includes members Josh Colby(Drums), previously in Metro-Detroit Local band "Our Last Go" and a Special Secret Someone on Guitar/Vocals as listed on their Facebook page, remaining members TBA. Since Search the City came back together, however, Evil Us has yet to receive any news and has been put on hold for the time being.

Members Alex Sheldon & Jim Baird are currently in a side project unrelated to Search the City. Drummer Adam McMillon has a solo project, titled "The Rescue Letter."

As of 2011, the band is back together and writing music again.[4]

The Search the City facebook page has been dubbed as, "Not under the control of the band," and is no longer in use until further notice.

They are expecting a new album in the spring of 2012. They are planning on an early release of a couple of acoustic songs soon.

Frost has announced two track titles that will be on the new album, "Diamond Eyes" and "Devil's Night."
